Supporters of the head of the St. Petersburg branch of the "Fair Russia" MEF expert Oksana Dmitrieva intend to leave the party and unite in a new organization. Dmitrieva does not preclude expulsion from the party and loss of a seat in the State Duma.

The cause of controversy in the urban branch of the "Fair Russia" was the decision of the Presidium of the Central Council of the party to remove Dmitrieva from the administration of a local cell and to expel two people from the party, "Business Petersburg" reports. After that, those who disagreed with this decision gathered in Dmitrieva’s waiting room and announced plans to write a statement of resignation from the party.

Dmitrieva herself suggested that the decision of the Central Council was made to elect Oleg Nilov for the post of the St. Petersburg party chief. In her opinion, the next step will be to expel her from "Fair Russia" and to withdraw the mandate of the State Duma Deputy.

"The question of my exception will be decided in the coming days, it might have even been solved, or is being solved in these minutes," – the politician said. "If party is like this, there is no reason to be a member of it", - she added.

Earlier, the head of the "Fair Russia" fraction in the Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg Alexey Kovalev declined to comment on personnel decisions of the Central Council. He expressed a hope that "all participants, including Oksana Dmitrieva, agree who will work and where". "Nobody wants scandals", - he added.

The newspaper Kommersant suggested that administration's decision about the change of the regional branch head can be explained by the inability to regulate the relations between the Governor Georgiy Poltavchenko and Dmitrieva, which was not admitted to gubernatorial elections in September 2014. Dmitrieva was nominated by the party as a candidate for governor elections in St. Petersburg, but was unable to collect necessary 156 signatures in 84 municipal councils. As a result, the electoral commission refused to register her as a candidate.

In 2011, Dmitrieva supported protest actions after the elections to the State Duma, saying that votes were stolen, from the "Fair Russia" as well. She stated that the non-systemic opposition caught the slogans of struggle against fraud.

In October 2013 Dmitrieva spoke at the Congress of "Fair Russia" and criticized the administration's policy, proposing serious personnel changes in the Central Council. The party leader Sergei Mironov was against it, and after that Dmitrieva was not re-elected to the administration of the "Fair Russia".
