Economic sanctions of the West against Russia - is still one of the most debated topics in our country. The experts intend to consider their impact in the course of the Moscow Economic Forum, which will be held in the capital from 23 to 24 March. This topic will be discussed in a separate round table entitled "Economic sanctions against Russia: Expectations and Reality."

In particular, experts in the framework of the discussion, will discuss the development of the Russian economy, forecast an optimistic and a pessimistic turn of events, as well as find out what is more useful for the country - an export-oriented economy or import substitution. In addition, the roundtable participants plan to analyze the impact of economic sanctions against Russia for the ordinary consumer.

"We will discuss everything related to import substitution, the impact of sanctions, not only as a whole on the economy, but also on the population, on the small and medium enterprises, state-owned enterprises", - explained the moderator of the upcoming roundtable, Professor, Associate Professor, of University of Finance Marina Alpidovskaya.

At the same time, she stressed that even economic sanctions do not affect the Russian economy the way that social and economic policy, which takes place in our state does. "Penalties - it is only particular. All the problems that we now feel are the consequences of illiteracy and incorrect socio-economic policy. The fact that the direction of it is liberal, and has not changed in 25 years, although it proved to be ineffective, "- said Marina Alpidovskaya.

MEF experts will discuss at the round table how to change the economic situation in Russia for the better. Participating in the discussion will be the staff of leading universities of the country, representatives of the academic community and business.
