Published: March 30th, 2017

The Moscow Economic Forum has become a platform for a broad discussion of the problems of the cultural, spiritual, and moral spheres of Russia. On the first day of the forum, there was a section entitled "How we see Russia in 10 years: spirituality, morality, culture." Its moderator, according to tradition, was the chairman of the Movie Forum "Up", producer and writer of children's fairy tales Yuri Ryazanov. According to the moderator, Russia is already ready to rethink the values. However, at the same time, speaking of religious spirituality, out of 80% who consider themselves Orthodox, only 2% of the population regularly go to the church. Yuri Ryazanov believes that there is no need to develop new spiritual laws, they already exist in the ten commandments of God. "We must have true values - first of all, family, moral. But in reality, as long as the theft and adultery flourish, which is propagated by the Internet environment. Nevertheless, I am sure that our spiritual values will arise in 10 years and we will finally remember that God created man in his image and likeness. "

Alexander Seregin, historian and co-author of the book "Project Russia", supported his colleague and made a proposal to create another Internet world. "We need to build our own world. The Internet should not be a place for entertainment and pornography, it should become a cathedral with one single law - "Love thy neighbor as yourself".

Maxim Kolesnik, archpriest, a graduate of the Moscow Theological Seminary, spoke with alarm about the new kind of man who creates a culture of consumption. "Commodity-money relations replaced the real spiritual. Even in Soviet times, spiritual commandments were in effect. It seems that an atheist is a person, and you talk with him - you feel that morality and morality are not in the last place for him. «And today, the expert is sure, we are trying to cut the very best that remains of that time. From the sincere person we make the one who lives only with bodily pleasures.

The fact that the permissiveness, which is now broadcasted on television and on the Internet, kills our society, said Alexander Petkov, People's Artist of the USSR. He called on all participants of the round table to show a civic position. "We must take an active position to save ourselves. Salvation drowning - the handiwork of the drowning themselves, you need to move from words to actions! "- appealed to the audience.

"We will never get a healthy moral Russia, if we do not start with ourselves," Maria Zakharova, director of communications and development of the NOVARD Group, expressed herself within the spiritual section. The expert spoke at the round table on behalf of entrepreneurs with a report on the ethical side of the trade. Maria Zakharova said that it would be right for business people today to focus on pre-revolutionary merchants, who saw their mission in helping society, caring for people, and not just own profit.

Children's psychologist Irina Medvedeva has led disappointing facts that show that alien spiritual values, peculiar to the Russian people, have struck a strong blow to the psyche in the last quarter of a century. As a person working in the 80's, the doctor told how much the number of patients in the border states has increased. "The order is different. 10-15 times more than it was. And this is not because we have absolutely different people now. No, the same ones are born. Only they then fall into conditions that are traumatized, and their collective unconscious is constantly traumatized. The mind with the heart is not in harmony ".

Irina Medvedeva added that if this continues, the outlook for the next decade is not encouraging. According to the expert, life is becoming more difficult, and people who will have to manage the country and work in it in 10 years will become more primitive, which is undoubtedly destructive for the future of the country.

Many speakers spoke about the fact that freedom, which the adherents of a democratic society sought, corrupted people in some way, pushed not to justice, but to permissiveness. "Our country is a historical example of many complex periods. Now one of them, and we see the imbalance of all the components. We see that the people do not get the results that they wanted, there is no response to their aspirations, there is no provision of their needs, "said the round table expert Diana Kazantseva.

Summing up the section, the speakers concluded that without a moral foundation it is impossible to build a healthy model of economic development.
