The creation of a single innovation space for the countries participating in the Eurasian Union was discussed at the round table of the MEF 2017 entitled "Meeting of the Bureau of the Scientific Council of the Russian Academy of Sciences on Complex Problems of Eurasian Integration, Modernization, Competitiveness and Sustainable Development". Moderators of the discussion were academician of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, scientific secretary of the Scientific Council of the Russian Academy of Sciences on complex problems of Eurasian economic integration, modernization, competitiveness and sustainable development Evgeny Naumov and corresponding member. According to experts, today Russia has everything it needs to completely redraw the policy in the Eurasian space. The Silk Road of Innovation model should become the basis for the development of the partnership between Russia and China. It involves the creation of general research and development in the field of high technology and their introduction into production. The basic elements of this system should be the centers of science and high technologies, established in Eurasian states based on national scientific centers. "We have the largest, strongest think tank. What we are now preparing based on the Yalta Civilization Club is the largest application for a scientifically sound program, at least until 2030, "Yury Yakovets, participant of the round table, confirmed the positive outlook for the idea of ​​interstate cooperation. However, according to the speakers' assessment, despite the fact that Xi Jinping attaches great importance to scientific discoveries within his country, at the bilateral field, interstate, common interests have not yet been observed.

However, on the part of Russian scientists, sounded in the hall, there are fears in the channel of possible cooperation. "There is an opinion that our people do not want to unite with China, because they are afraid of takeover," the experts said. Meanwhile, according to the speakers, on the eve of cooperation, it is necessary to prepare a basic platform: "Today we have 26 thousand inventions, and when Kosygin was 98 thousand. That's where the pedal to be pedaled" - summed up the topic of science in the discussion experts.

In addition, according to the speakers, at the level of regional and municipal entities it is necessary to create conditions for cooperation and integration of industries. The strategy of Eurasian integration is capable of not only increasing the volume of trade between Russia and China, but also creating millions of jobs and fundamentally new scientific, technical and production complexes.

Sergei Glazyev, an adviser to the President of the Russian Federation, sees a huge potential for the development of a scientific joint path between Russia and China. "I think the proposals deserve support - to create a section of our scientific council that would constantly be engaged in the topic of Russian-Chinese cooperation. Chinese colleagues actively participate in scientific exchange with the Academy of Sciences, and between Moscow University and the University of Beijing, too, is a good cooperation, "said the speaker. He added that it is for this reason that the participants of the discussion can gather a good joint team, which will be quite interesting and workable. In addition, the expert is sure, this initiative falls entirely in the subject of the council, which is created on the problems of Eurasian integration, modernization, competitiveness and sustainable development.

In general, the experts of the round table agreed that the potential of Russia and China should become the guarantee of cooperation within the framework of the Silk Road of Innovation, therefore, a common vision of the problems of economic development and methods of their solution, which will be worked out, including within the framework of the MEF.
