Mikhail Delyagin: The Central Bank cynically destroyed the bank "Ugra"

Published: October 6th, 2017

The events of last summer in the banking sector caused a wide public response. The situation with the bank "Ugra" became an occasion for sharp criticism of the Central Bank's actions on the part of the expert community.

Therefore, in the opinion of Doctor of Economics Mikhail Delyagin, in the situation with "Yugra" there was a cynical destruction of the credit organization that was a member of the top 30 banks of Russia. If the Central Bank made a decision on the rehabilitation of Ugra, then it would not have to spend huge funds for the restoration of the Bank Otkrytie, which could stay "afloat" without outside interference, notes Delyagin.

Ex-President of Ugra Alexei Nefedov, commenting on the activities of the interim administration of the bank, argues that the hands of the interim leadership carried out the destruction of the financial institution. Several times, I added reserves to the bank and revalued the value of its assets downward. As a result, the "hole" in the capital of Ugra reached 86 billion rubles.

With a point of view, Aleksey Nefedov agrees with Mikhail Delyagin. He says that in
The result of such actions on the part of the interim administration is the destruction of banks. And the order is given by the Central Bank.
